Dear Space community,
Welcome to the new normal! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be offering live yoga & pilates classes to our homebound community around the world via Zoom, and pre-recorded classes via Vimeo. All of our classes are for koha as we navigate these weeks together.
Zoom
What is Zoom? Zoom is an online meeting platform, we have given it a trial and it works pretty good for teaching yoga online. There is a sense of community and will allow you to attend classes, keep in a routine and have some normality around your yoga practice. It does take a bit of getting used to, but feedback so far has been good :)
This week’s classes are up now, staring with Gentle at 8:30am Saturday (tomorrow) morning. We’ll keep the next few days updated so keep checking in
How to get Zoom:
Download the app on your smartphone or computer via app store search ‘ZOOM Cloud Meetings’.
Or download via the website https://zoom.us/download this is all free.
Create a Log In and password and wait for confirmation email. This may take a bit of time as they are super busy right now.
OR Click the ‘meeting link’ and Zoom will guide you through the process
How to do an online class:
Book into a class via Momo or our website (click on timetable) at least 15min before start time.
Click the meeting link in the Momo class description.
Or we will send you an email with the ‘meeting’ link 15-20mins before class starts.
Click the link 3 - 5 mins before class start time to ‘arrive’.
Before clicking the link or ‘arriving to class’:
Get set up in a peaceful space. Think about phones, kids, life on hold (or quiet) as much as possible
Set up your mat and have any props close by. A thick blanket or pillow can work to replace a block and bolster.
Navigating the meeting screen:
Click on top right where it says full screen to see the teacher.
You can choose to have your video on which will make you ‘seen’ or video off and just your name will show.
Choose ‘speaker’ view to have the teacher BIG, and if you’d like to see the other members of the class, hover your cursor over your picture and then click the two stacked rectangles.
The teacher will ‘mute all’ when class begins to keep the practice space quiet for all.

These classes can be streamed whenever & wherever you like. Some will even be downloadable. Keep an eye on our social media pages and look out for emails announcing when we have uploaded new content.
How to Donate:
Koha can be weekly, rather than class-by-class, so you can join us as often as needed!
