Hello yogis,
All of us, in some way, are affected by what is happening right now and not one of us is alone. We are consulting with public health experts, following Ministry of Health guidelines and putting plans into place so that we can keep offering yoga to support your wellness. Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t downward dog together.
In New Zealand, we have the opportunity to stop the community spread of COVID-19, if we work together!
Our teachers are assessing our personal risk factors. We’re all keeping ourselves safe to keep you safe when you come to practice. We will continue to keep The Space doors open for now (Literally, so you don’t need to touch the door handles) and we’re looking into developing online materials too! Please assess your own personal risk factors before you decide to come to class. Even if you feel fit and strong, remember there may be others more vulnerable in your environment.
We need you to help us!
All classes must be pre-booked online so we can ensure class numbers and accountability. We gotta know everyone that comes in our doors.
We’ve changed our class numbers to a maximum of 10 per class with mats pre-set to accommodate social distancing recommendations.
We ask that you complete the below checklist when attending class…
I am feeling well
I bring positive energy
I’ve been living and loving local!
I care for myself and others
Arrive ten minutes early to class, not on Raglan time. This is essential so we can ensure that everyone has time to follow our extra procedures to check-in, wash hands, etc… The door will be closed when class starts and we can no longer accept latecomers.
We strongly encourage you to bring your own props. This includes…
Mat
Water bottle
Thick blanket (can be used as a bolster or block when folded)
Block(s), if you have them
Our props will be available to use at your own discretion.
If you’d like to purchase a block or mat, do it! We can order props for you so get in touch. Having your own props will also help support your home practice and online classes.
We will continue to clean all high use surfaces and use the strong stuff.
MOST IMPORTANTLY - If you’re exhibiting symptoms of flu or cold, please don’t come to class. If you do, we will ask you to leave. This is to uphold our value of maintaining a safe, supportive space for our community. Please do not be offended! We look forward to seeing you back when you’re feeling better.
We'll keep you updated as things change. Please also follow us on Facebook for more resources on wellness and updates.
